Quantitative Western Blotting Tips: New Article and Video Summarizing the Design of a Quantitative Western Blot Experiment

Dear All,

In response to strong demand from the scientific community, it is my pleasure to announce our recently published article entitled “The Design of a Quantitative Western Blot Experiment” in the peer reviewed journal BioMed Research International

The paper summarizes each step in designing and analyzing data from a quantitative western blot experiment in a concise, 7-page paper with 3 figures and 3 tables. An associated video is also available

We have already received some very positive comments for these learning tools to help scientists produce solid, quantifiable data from western blots and we hope you also find them useful. My E-mail list is definitely not exhaustive so please pass this message on to anyone performing western blot experiments who you feel would benefit from these resources.

I am very pleased to announce that Bio-Rad Canada has recently invested in our front line customer support (Field Application Scientist (FAS)) team by adding an additional FAS to cover Ontario and Manitoba. The team now includes myself (managing the Canadian FAS team and covering Ottawa and Eastern Canada), Dr. Meysam Abbasi (covering Western Canada) and our newest member Dr. Claude Lachance (covering Ontario and Manitoba). Unlike all of our competitors who are currently downsizing their support staff, we believe that our increased investment in this area is a critical success factor for our customers and our company. As always, our goal is to differentiate ourselves as the “go to” solutions provider that not only offers quality products but will work tirelessly to help you make your experiments work in the shortest time frame possible.

Your ongoing support and loyalty to Bio-Rad has enabled us to make this new investment in resources to support you better. We hope that you continue to think of Bio-Rad first for your lab needs and your local sales representative (cc’d on this message) will be happy to coordinate one of our highly reputed qPCR, western blotting, bioplex, chromatography or droplet digital PCR workshops at your site in the near future. Good luck with your experiments and as always we are there to help!
